Don't let the email method stop you from making comments about or concerning the Redshirts. It means a lot to hear from you
and what you have to say. It would take a lot of effort for the Spammers
to post their junk with this method. If I find a better and easier
method I will certainly employ it. Until now, this is it. Thanks for you
patience.

I hate to be the next entry in our guest book but I guess people are shy. Anyway, the meeting on Friday June 20 was really special. The son of one our group was on leave and stopped by in uniform. He is a medic who attends to those who need to be air lifted to Germany due to their wounds. We stood up and applauded him but he applauded us! What a great feeling. He told us the the Red Shirts are know across the desert.

What an exciting day today was for the Brookings-Harbor Red Shirts; we were surprised and honored to have our very own Brookings, MSgt Frank Pelaccio come to our meeting and personally thank all of the Red Shirts and all of our communities of Brookings and Harbor for their continued support of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Frank has just returned from his tour of duty in the Middle East where he worked long days and nights tending to our wounded heroes. MSgt Pelaccio said that wherever he had contacts, either in Iraq or Afghanistan, North, South, East or West, he heard the soldiers talking somewhere about the Brookings-Harbor Red Shirts and how great it was to receive the support packages from our great community. The soldiers think that we are a metropolis, when in fact, in our hearts and minds, we truly are. Thank you Brookings and Harbor friends and families and businesses for your continued support of our young men and women serving their country selflessly every day. Frank Muller, Brookings, Or

I can't believe the support of our
community for our troops. I'm a "member" of the Brookings Harbor
Red Shirts. My wife was involved in the raffle/auction held
tonight to help carry us over until the spring in order to keep
sending packages to our troops. Due to the generosity of our
merchants, members, donations and citizens, over $5,500 was
raised! The Red Shirts are having a big push for gifts to our
soldiers for Christmas and the goal is 100 boxes. I am confident
that will be exceeded by at least 50%. Those of you who didn't
attend, you missed a fun time. Those of you who did attend, thank
you. Those of you who contributed your goods, time, cash and
support, THANK YOU.

Happy Friday Red Shirts!
As I sit here at lunchtime, I’m once again thinking about your 1,000th box heading out to the Middle East. I thought it would be fitting to send you a congratulatory message and a giant THANK YOU for sticking with your mission to help our troops know that they are appreciated and honored by TRUE AMERICANS. I wish I could have gone to Brookings for the big send-off, but although I wasn’t there in person, I want you to know that I was there in thought-- 11:00 on 11 May 2007 the 1,000th package was mailed off to our dedicated servicemen! This is a day worth remembering.
Thanks again to each of you dedicated Red Shirts and those who support you so you can support the troops.
With respect, Alli

Hi Jack and Nancy,
My name is SSG Christopher Wheeler, I am a soldier in the US Army serving in Iraq.
I received some wonderful care packages from your terrific organization that i
shared with my fellow soldiers over here.
I will give you the names of the people I E-mailed.
Bonnie Hand, Verdon and Lois Wheeler,
Sandy Jojo,
Bill Hamilton,
Frank and Sandra Muller.
I was able to get to your website. It truly is a wonderful site.
I understand your frustration with the spammers out there.
My father created a web site for our family to use to keep updated photo;s
and blogs but that got ruined by spammers also.
The site is : http://andywheeler.com/
Your Organization has meant a awful lot to myself and my unit !!
I am very proud to serve my country in the US Army and people like
yourselves make me even prouder to serve.
Although I am thousands of miles away from my home, You all
help keep the distance closer.
The smile I see in all of my soldiers eyes and mouth when I hand them a box
you sent brings a tear of happiness to me.
Thank you all and god bless all and your wonderful organization.
Your Friend,
Chris

On behalf of all the lives you have touched in not only my flight, but in all the others you have so generously given support and encouragement to through your letters and care packages, THANK YOU! I can not put into words how wonderful it feels to know that organizations and people we have never met are so dedicated to comforting and supporting us. It is the wonderful people like all of you that that remind us everyday why we work so hard for the ideals America represents. The pictures of Harbor Brookings are beautiful and were much appreciated. I attached a picture of the sunset here in Iraq to share some of our scenery. Thank you again for everything you have done.

My friend's
husband, Ralph Martin, belongs to your organization. She suggested I send
you my son's name. He is in Baghdad, a member of the Striker unit. I think
your site is really awesome and supportive of our boys.
Thank you,

Greetings dear friends:
My husband and I founded 'TOUCH OF HOME" Support 4R Deployed Military, Inc. Please check out our web site:
www.touchofhomeformilitary.com
We would be glad to add your link to our site and maybe you could add our link to yours.
I see you know our friends at "Pinups for Vets" We privately mail their calendars for them. "Touch of Home" is not involved with the Calendars at all. We privatly mail them and then take the FPO/APO and start mailing care packages to them under our Corporation name. Hope to hear from you. We mail 100-200 packages a month and have direct contacts we ship to. I would love to hear more about how you operate. WE have learned as we go along. We are 4 1/2 years old now. God Bless! Thanks for all you are doing. Our daughter, Sgt. Rebecca Iacolino is somewhere in Northern Iraq until next fall. LOL, Diane
